What is Chewy?
A nickname given to me a while back while on a ski trip.
The Story goes a little like this…
I used to have long hair and I often wear a scruffy long beard. While skiing I fell face first (did I mention this was my first time skiing) and my buddy came over and made sure I was okay. When I arose I had snow all in my face, hair and beard. My bud said:
“Dude you look just like Chewie from Empire!”
Now, the accepted spelling of the short name of “Chewbacca” is “Chewie”. However I did not know this when I entered “Chewy” into a game save when prompted to name. This then carried over to SOCOM on PS2, where I was “-Chewy-” and to Xbox live where I am “Chewydan”.
